We would like to inform you that from October 23, 2023, to November 25, 2023, window replacements will be taking place at the JU Library as part of the IROP project. We believe that the revitalization of the environment will contribute to a more comfortable reading experience.

Operational and Other Restrictions

Borrowing Services - limited borrowing of books from shelves

Please be aware that due to the window replacements, access to the open shelving areas on the 1st and 2nd floors of the JU Library will be restricted from October 23, 2023, to November 4, 2023. During this period, you can order books in advance at the borrowing window or by submitting a request at the information desk on the ground floor of the JU Library. 

Online ordering of document loans

Order documents in advance through the online form at: https://www.lib.jcu.cz/en/our-services/orders-form-contactless-loan. Always wait for confirmation that your order is ready for pickup. 

Study Rooms

Only selected enclosed study rooms and research areas will be in operation.

Returning Documents

Books can be returned at the library's ground floor desk or by using the self-service machine located on the side of the building.

Printing Services

Printing and copying will be available on a limited number of machines.

Occasional Increased Noise Level

Due to the removal of old windows and the installation of new ones at the Academic Library.

Script Store

Operational without restrictions.
