EOSC
The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is a pan-European initiative to create a unified data infrastructure for open science in Europe. EOSC aims to enable easy access to and sharing of scientific data between academics, industry and public service providers. This infrastructure supports the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles, which means that data should be easy to find, accessible, interoperable and reusable.
EOSC tries to link existing and future data infrastructures, which are currently fragmented across disciplines and EU member states. The ambition is to create a "Web of FAIR Data and Services", a network of research data and services based on FAIR principles. In this way, EOSC supports the transition towards open science and innovation, which has the potential to accelerate scientific progress and economic growth through better exploitation of research results.
The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) EU Node is a digital platform that promotes open science in Europe. It offers easy access to scientific data, publications, software, and services that comply with the FAIR principles.

EOSC-CZ is the national hub of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative in the Czech Republic. The Czech EOSC implementation focuses on the creation of a National Data Infrastructure (NDI) that enables the sharing, management and access to scientific data and computing resources. The University of South Bohemia is involved in this initiative within selected EOSC-CZ working groups.
